We have been working with Andrea regarding the overall management of our property in Merida since the day we purchased Casa Walker in 2004.  She is easily the most reliable manager of property we have ever worked with, either in Mexico or the US.  Energetic, creative, and honest are the words we would use to best describe her and her services.  We only spend 3 to 4 months in Merida, and rent our property the periods we are not in town.  She takes care of everything for us: meeting the renters upon arrival, receiving payment, basically being an all around concierge for our renters. Plus, she has supervised and design consulted with us on all the renovations/ repairs we have had done, and all her work has been fully guaranteed. Additionally she manages all of our bills associated with the property, which makes ownership from a distance doable for us.  Whatever your property needs or issues are in Merida, she will get it done.

We Really Enjoyed This Type of Vacation

My parents, sister, brother-in-law, grandmother, uncle, my husband and I were all able to stay very comfortably in this magnificent home.  We had great conversations with drinks and cigars by the pool at night.  Relaxing and reading on a hammock was one of my favorite things to do.  My brother-in-law and husband are great cooks and they prepared fresh meals that we enjoyed in either of the two dining areas.  You feel like you have walked into another era in this villa, but with the comforts of modern times.  The bathroom tiles are beautiful.  The natural lighting is amazing.  Walking to the plazas full of entertainment and restaurants was very convenient.  We really enjoyed this type of vacation and are already planning on returning.

A Perfect Party

In June 2008 we had a birthday party at our casita in Mérida for my mother, who was turning 80 years old.  We had about 25 guests, who came from Sweden, California, Washington, Texas, and New Hampshire, as well as from Mexico. Andrea Traconis organized an event and catered a meal for our guests that was absolutely fantastic.

 

Tables and chairs were arranged comfortably, and there were flowers on every table. Two women made fresh tortillas over a fire in the garden. As guests arrived, they received Mayan cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The food was served buffet style, and it was delicious!  The menu included Mayan specialties, including sopa de lima, panuchos, and poc chuc. There was also a wide variety of desserts, including a beautiful birthday cake.  Andrea also arranged for a mariachi band to make a surprise entrance, and they played my Mom’s every request.

 

It was a great event.  Andrea provided excellent food and excellent service.  If we can provide additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us
